Road Work:
The construction of the Wilhelm bridge is srill underway. Once completed, the bridge will allow traffic to move west on Wilhelm to Radnor. It will also provide direct pedestrian and bike access along Wilhelm to the Rock Island Trail.

SNOW REMOVAL:
Snow is coming our way. All residents need to be mindful of city requirements regarding snow removal on personal properties. A primary concern is that residents should not blow snow into the street after the snow plows have come past. Streets will become very slick, bumpy, and unsafe from homeowners doing this. Below is the verbiage from the City's website on this topic as well as other requirements. The link is also included.
Please observe this requirement and keep our streets in a safe as possible condition through the winter. Thankyou.
Driveways & Sidewalks:These are the responsibility of residents and property owners. The City appeals to citizens to keep this critical part of Peoria's transportation system accessible by clearing sidewalks, especially for children walking to/from school. State law protects property owners from any added liability if they shovel their sidewalks. Residents should shovel snow into their yard, not the street. Putting snow into the street is against the law because it causes dangerously slippery conditions for both motorists and pedestrians. The Police Department shall be requested to make every effort to strictly enforce this. (Chapter 26, Article I, Section 26-25). City crews try to avoid putting large piles of snow in front of driveways, however, this is not always possible. To avoid having to "double shovel," citizens may want to wait until after their street has been plowed before clearing their driveway. Residents are also asked to clear snow around fire hydrants, meters and mailboxes to aid firefighters, meter readers and postal carriers.

| Safe Winter Driving
As we get into the winter months and we have snow and ice on the roads, this may be a time to remember to be properly prepared for winter driving. - Maintain at least a 1/4 tank of gas at all times.- Fill your windshield washer tank. - Switch on your headlights / tailights when it is snowing or raining. Some cars have automatic headlights, but the tail-lights do not always come on. Check what you have. You need to be seen from the front and behind. - Check condition of your windshield wipers - replace if necessary. - Check that all your lights are working. Many cars seem to have burned out center brake lights. - Double your following distance - you may need that extra distance to stop in time. - Four wheel drive helps you get through the snow, but it will not help you stop on ice or packed snow. - Anticipate, anticipate, anticipate. Avoid getting into accidents or near misses by anticipating and avoiding potentially dangerous situations.
The objective of winter driving is to get to your destination safely and without damaging your and others vehicles. Give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination - don't hurry and be alert.

Yard Lights
Please remember that the subdivision restrictions require that your yard light is in working order. These are the only lights in the subdivision and we all benefit by having them on at night. The homeowners association will be following up with property owners who do not have working lights.
| Property Line Issues
We have had a few inquiries as to where the property lines are between Dover and the surrounding subdivision, in particular Northridge Meadows to the east of Dover. Please be sure to verify where your property line is before starting on any landscaping or planting project this spring.
| Structures
Please remember that the subdivision restrictions require review and approval by the board of any structure prior to construction.
