Garage Sale, May 5th.
Dover Pointe will holding their neighborhood wide Spring Garage Sale on May 5th, starting at 8:00am.
Please remind your children that street traffic will be much higher and they should exercise extreme caution when crossing the road.

Board of Director Elections: Updated Schedule
Note: due to room availability at the Peoria Public Library, North Branch (behind Menards), the dates for the "Meet the Candidates" and "Annual Meeting" had to be changed.
DOVER POINTE ELECTIONS for Board of Directors is underway. Three (3) positions are open and three (3) candidates (see Board tab for details) have announced their interest in the positions. A ballot within a newsletter will be delivered to your home within next few days. Members can either mail their ballot to DPHA or bring to the Annual Meeting. If mailed, they must be in the DPHA PO Box by May 8th. On May 9th , 7:00 - 8:00pm, the Annual meeting will be held at Seminar Room, Peoria Public Library, North Branch (behind Menards), where ballots will be counted and new Board announced.

DPHA Dues Collection
At the March 24th, 2012 Board Meeting, the board approved that DPHA dues for 2012 would be $100/home. A DPHA Dues Form was included in the Spring newsletter. Please mail the completed form with a $100 check payable to DPHA. The DPHA needs these fees to maintain the appearance of our neighborhood and make our community an enjoyable place to live and invest.
Please mail your check by May 30th, 2012. Thank you !!

BYLAWS have been REVISED:
At the March 24th Board Meeting, the Board approved changes to the by-laws governing how the Board operates. Check Bylaws TAB for complete edition. Several changes were made, but changes of note are :
- Board will now have seven members instead of eight.
- Staggered terms have been clarified rather than “just something we have done”.
- Clarification of tenure and eligibility to serve on the board. The new bylaws establish tenure limits which encourages new people to serve with new ideas and input.
- Several clarifications of how the Board can conduct business: vote by e-mail, eligibility to vote / participate, quorum, etc.
- Election process has been clarified and formalized.

PROPOSED ROADWAY CHANGES
Major changes are being proposed to the road system near Dover Pointe. These changes include the following:
- Added turn lanes from Townline ontoAllen Road
- Wider bridge over Illinois Route 6 to accommodate bikers and pedestrians
- Improved access and exits from Illinois Route 6
- Complete re-organization of the Rock Island Trail crossing underneathAllen Rd
- New entrance and exit fromAllen Rd.forBrompton Courtresidents
- New culvert installation atAllen/Alta Rd
- Roundabout installation atAllen/Alta Rd
- Roundabout atRadnor RdandAlta Lane
- Roundabout atAllen Rd.andHickory Grove Rd
- Possible roundabout at Orange Prairie Road/Route 91.
